SITE COMES A NEW EDITION IN 2016

On 16 and 17 December will be the 5th edition IN SITE - Display of the movement arts at Arts Santa Monica in Barcelona. The new edition of insitu comes with a new exhibition format in which the public will be invited to take a tour of three different areas of the Arts Santa Monica, where you can see VERSIONS-site, ie adapted versions of pieces in the space of three artists each night of the Festival. This new approach responds to the interest in adapting theatrical works based on the movement in unconventional spaces.

Show also consolidated partnerships to weave a display circuit throughout the country promoting the mobility of parts with different organizations and festivals such as MACBA lives, the Festival Seismograph Olot , the Chamber Hiroshima , the old Theatre , the Festival Mixtur and the animal's back .

Collective farming of Lamajara, Cluster Group Lema Brief Essay on Iris nada Heitzinger and Imaginarium frame Manel Salas are the four pieces selected open call program of the 5th edition in situ. SAMPLE SITE IN 2013

 

On Saturday November 16, 2013 took place the 2nd edition-SITE - Other contemporary dance to installations Metro Barcelona (TMB) specifically in the lobby of the station Universitat (L1-L2).

 

2nd Edition-SITE wanted to continue working to bring contemporary dance to the public and in this sense he opted to place the sample in a space outside the usual circuit of exhibition. In the 2nd edition deepened the idea of ​​creating spaces for dialogue between artists and audiences who share in the creative process of each artist with the intention of bringing dance to new audiences. The Show-SITE artists a creative exercise proposed location of their work in a non-theatrical, while the proposed public exercise of reflection on the experience during the exhibition. Both visions came together in a meeting

 

On Saturday 16 November could see the work of three artists selected from all submissions received on the open call in Catalonia (June-July 2013). The final selection process was carried out by a team of professionals Pere Faura, Anna Rubirola, Alex Serrano and Marine Pudding. The artists selected for the 2nd edition IN SITU were: Rose Tutusaus with "SIMUNI" Sea Medina with "Hit-and-miss take," with Natalia Jimenez "Manifesto on the border" and the collective project with Russian d_ "5". But the piece "5" of d_ruses was canceled the final program of the 2nd Ed. for technical reasons of space.

WHO participated in the 4-SITE EDITION

The 1st edition SITU took place in 2012 and was exhibited as part of the movement arts exhibition that was shown at Arts Santa Monica in Barcelona from 23 October 2012 to 26 January 2013 .

For this first edition we selected six pieces that were exhibited on 16 and 17 November 2012 in parts 2 capsules in a structure that combined performance, projection of videos and discussion impasse created by the artists themselves around the experience of the artist during the creative process.

The 4th edition-SITE take place on 17, 18 and 19 December 2015 the faculty of Arts Santa Monica hours of 19pm to 21pm every day and you can see the six pieces chosen during the selection process.

 

The main objective of the exhibition is to position itself as a meeting point to give visibility and recognition context to create independent contemporary dance in Catalonia, offering a space for artists or groups of artists open their work to new exhibit experiences and expand access to a more diverse audience through the location and format of the exhibition.

Moreover, ON-SITE wants to bring contemporary dance to the public by creating opportunities for dialogue between artists and audiences by sharing the creative process of each artist.


2015-SITE wants to bet a risky program, presenting experimental projects that investigate the search for new languages ​​in the field of the arts movement.

SHOW SITE IN 2014

The 3rd-SITE was held on 18, 19 and 20 December 2014 from 19h to 20: 30h at Arts Santa Monica, and presented six pieces chosen during the selection process: Quim Bigas Amaranta Velarde, María García, Diana Gadish, Laila Tafur and Joao Lima.

The main objective of the exhibition is to position itself as a meeting point to give visibility, recognition and context to the creation of independent contemporary dance in Catalonia, offering space to artists or groups of artists open their work to new exhibition experiences and expand access to a more diverse audience through the location and format of the exhibition.

Moreover, ON-SITE aims to bring contemporary dance to the public by placing the sample in different unconventional spaces of the city and creating spaces for dialogue between artists and audiences to share the creative process of each artist.


SITE IN 2014 opted for a risky programming, presenting experimental work that explores the search for new languages ​​in the field of arts movement.
